Patek Phillipe 5271P Perpetual Chronograph in Platinum with Diamond Case

The Patek Philippe 5271P is a watch that will not be everyone’s cup of tea, but no one will deny its absolute charisma and standing as a modern mega watch.

It is a highly complicated watch that encompasses an in-house manufactured perpetual calendar coupled with a chronograph movement, the ultimate in Patek Philippe. Furthermore, is cased in the most noble of metals, which is platinum and is also adorned by diamonds on the case and lugs.

Fitted with a spectacular black dial containing 12-layers of lacquer, which creates a fantastic glossy look. Furthermore, the mix of black with the grey chronograph counters gives the watch a look not seen previously within the complicated Patek lineup.

A noteworthy finishing touch pertaining to the beauty that is the ref. 5271 is found on the deployment buckle, which is fully adorned by diamonds. What shows the lengths taken to create a wholesome masterpiece.

A bright future awaits the Patek 5271P and we cannot wait to see it go as far as possible. The reason to this is because the previous two models did not prove to be nearly as attractive as the 5271. For example the ref. 3990 based on the ref. 3970 had a rather unappealing mix of a diamond bezel coupled with a diamond index dial.

The same went for the ref. 5971 based on the ref. 5970, a reference with tremendous potential but that was sadly also fitted with a diamond index dial. A major plus for the ref. 5271 is the absence of a diamond index dial.
